How do I find out exactly what my Cigna plan pays?

Does Cigna cover teeth whitening or other cosmetic work?
Purely cosmetic treatments like whitening and elective veneers are not usually covered by Cigna. Some procedures that are both cosmetic and functional, such as a crown on a damaged tooth, may qualify for partial coverage. We'll tell you which parts of your treatment Cigna will and won't pay for.
Do I need a referral to see you with Cigna PPO?
No. Cigna PPO plans do not require a referral for dental care. You can book directly with Diamondback Dentistry, even if we're not listed as your primary dentist on file.
When do my Cigna dental benefits reset?
Most Cigna plans reset on January 1st, though some employer plans run on a different benefit year. Your annual maximum does not roll over, so any unused portion is lost when the year ends. We'll help you time treatment to make the most of your benefits.
Can I use Cigna together with a second dental plan?
Yes. If you're covered by Cigna and a second plan, for example through a spouse, we can coordinate benefits between them so you get the most coverage possible. Bring both member IDs to your visit and we'll handle the billing order for you.
